About

Our Vision & Mission

We want to build a community where everyone is welcome to explore the ethics of AI. We want to facilitate conversations where ethics of AI carries substance and has practical real world meaning. We want to build a space where our participants can be empowered with tools to go out and make meaningful contributions in shaping the future of AI.

How It All Began

When an engineer meets a social scientist, what does a conversation on AI look like?

That’s how we started. We’re two friends (one engineer, one social scientist) who met at our regular café for a chat. Our conversation steered towards one of the topics we felt intrigued about – AI, but looking at it from a more social, economic and ethical perspective. We enjoyed the conversation so much we wanted to bring more people from different backgrounds together for a deep dive.
